About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location in Bloomington, California. The role supports a secure environment by screening people and materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. It is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, at a pay rate of $18.80 per hour. The Security Guard provides customer service while following site-specific screening and access-control procedures and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate. The position includes screening individuals, packages, and property; monitoring screening equipment; responding to incidents; and conducting patrols.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and property entering or leaving the distribution location according to established procedures.
Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, irregularities, or policy violations to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
