About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for credential screening at a logistics and distribution location in San Leandro, California. The role helps maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, reporting security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $19.95 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security policies.
Screen personnel, visitors, and packages as directed; document discrepancies and report prohibited items or concerns to site leadership.
Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and designated screening locations to help deter unauthorized entry and suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, trailer areas, and loading zones, reporting hazards, damage, or unusual activity.
