About The Position

The Security Guard position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, work in diverse environments within healthcare facilities and grounds, and cope with demanding situations. This role involves effective communication with personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors, while maintaining professional human relations skills. The position also requires the ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary and to handle stress effectively.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Security and/or law enforcement background
• Basic knowledge of investigative techniques
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Basic knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques
• Knowledge in the use of security camera and computer systems
• Knowledge of the use of protection devices
• Possess integrity and excellent human relation skills
• Possess current driver's license
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances

Responsibilities

• Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during work hours
• Work in all areas of all the healthcare authority facilities and grounds
• Effectively cope with frequent interruptions
• Work beyond normal working hours, if necessary, to effectively and efficiently perform required duties
• Cope with possible subjection to infectious diseases, toxic substances, abusive people
• Cope with stress that arises from working in the performance of duties
• Communicate with all authority personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors while exercising proper and appropriate human relations skills
