About The Position

The Security Guard position involves performing various duties within healthcare authority facilities and grounds. This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during work hours. The guard will work in all areas of the facilities and grounds, effectively cope with frequent interruptions, and potentially work beyond normal hours to ensure duties are performed efficiently. The position also requires coping with potential exposure to infectious diseases, toxic substances, and abusive individuals, as well as managing stress that arises from the job. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors, while maintaining proper human relations. The role also demands the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances require.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Security and/or law enforcement background
• Basic knowledge of investigative techniques
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Basic knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques
• Knowledge in the use of security camera and computer systems
• Knowledge of the use of protection devices
• Possess integrity and excellent human relation skills
• Possess current driver's license
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate
