Basic Job Functions: This posting is to build the hiring pool for the Secuity Guard position at Nucor Tubular Products Decatur. Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and company guidelines regarding the safety of visitors and carriers coming on and leaving our facility. Communication and coordination with other departments relating to deliveries and visitor appointments. Communication with loading and receiving crews for timely coordination of incoming and outgoing loads. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always. This role is designed as a short-term position. The teammate must remain in the position for at least six months before becoming eligible to apply for a Production role. During this six-month period, the teammate will be expected to cross-train in Production to ensure they are prepared to transition into a Production position when eligible. We are not offering sponsorship for this position at this time. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, nights, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Aptitude to learn various computer applications to support the shipment of finished goods.
Highly detail oriented, organized, and capable of working in a steady-paced environment.

Responsibilities
