About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, gaining experience across different sites. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age, or older if required by the state; 21 years of age if armed.
• Possess a valid driver's license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Arizona driver's license held for over one year with a clean driving record.
• Possess a valid guard card/security officer license if required by Arizona DPS.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols.
• Able to work outside in the elements.
• Basic ability to use computers, radios, cameras, access-control systems, and incident-reporting software.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, accurately, and informatively.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations, identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Reliability, adaptability to different post assignments, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other required documentation.
