About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex - Bank Access in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. The role serves and safeguards clients across varied industries and work sites. Officers work 30–40 hours per week, with schedules that vary from week to week through manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed using the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The position pays $18.32 per hour and offers exposure to different sites and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Willingness to travel varying distances to work assignments.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in cases of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
