About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Flex Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries and provides hands-on experience at varied sites. The position offers 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary weekly and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and workers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to meet client needs.

The position involves unarmed security patrol coverage and requires adaptability, dependability, reliable transportation, ability to travel the required distance, and availability for last-minute scheduling. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening; licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel the required distance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
