About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.22 per hour. Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to utility location personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns, and report maintenance, operational, or access-control issues to appropriate site contacts.
