About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard for a retail and mall location in Paramus, New Jersey. The role involves routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and mall personnel. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The listed schedule is Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; document observations and actions according to location procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and support traffic flow during busy shopping periods, special events, deliveries, and tenant operations.
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
