About The Position
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, CGL offers customized services to meet the dynamic security needs of both private and public sector clients, including uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement, and identification services. This posting is for an existing vacancy for a Commissionaire to join their growing team. The role requires a commitment to serving the needs of clients and employees to enhance organizational success.
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Ability to obtain Reliability (Level I) Security Clearance (resident in Canada 5 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
- Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently)
- Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client
Nice To Haves
- Ability to speak French is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Conduct Vehicle Patrols
- Conduct Foot Patrol of the buildings
- Ensure no intruders are on the property
- Ensure no theft of building materials
- Respond to alarms, inspections, securing construction areas, access control
