About The Position
This is a 6-month temporary contract position for a Casual Security Guard, running from August 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The role emphasizes customer service, requiring guards to engage easily with people and make them feel confident in their ability to help. Guards will work in various environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers, interacting with people throughout their shifts.
Requirements
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- Responsive and strong problem solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Available to work flexible hours
- Proficient in basic phone & computer skills

- First aid certification an asset
Responsibilities
- Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors
- Manage access control
- Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks
- Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Perform computer tasks
- Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
- Answer questions in person or by phone
