About The Position

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is seeking a weekend Security Guard. Stonington Institute provides substance abuse treatment for adults in Southeastern Connecticut, offering medical detox and residential addictions treatment. They also have a clinic in Groton, CT, for partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, supported by The Inn at Trails Corner, a sober living community for clients attending outpatient programs. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security/safety officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
• Monitor all buildings and grounds.
• Enforce rules and regulations, including curfew.
• Check all windows, doors, and locks.
• Inspect outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
• Ensure company vehicle(s) at the site are locked and secure.
• Complete documentation as required (rounds checklist, HPRs).
• Report on any outside maintenance issues, including the cleanliness of guest areas.
• Submit an end-of-shift report daily, including incidents, supportive documentation, and contraband found (items, location, possession, and confiscation details).
