About The Position

As a Security Guard in Gardner, Kansas, you will safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will help manage site entry, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and following site-specific procedures.

This is a full-time day-shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, paying $19.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements if applicable; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond calmly to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
