About The Position

Allegiance Security is seeking a dependable, professional Security Officer assigned to student restroom monitoring at Spartanburg School District 6. The officer will patrol and monitor assigned student restrooms during the school day, help prevent loitering or congregating between classes, maintain a visible security presence, and observe and report inappropriate, suspicious, or unauthorized activity. Any issues must be promptly communicated to designated school staff by two-way radio, and incident or activity reports must be completed as required.

This is strictly an Observe and Report position. Officers are not responsible for disciplining students or physically intervening in student-related incidents. The position operates only while school is in session and follows the District’s school and holiday calendar. Officers will not work when school is closed unless otherwise directed, and they are paid for actual hours worked. Hours may vary due to the school calendar, early dismissals, scheduled closures, and other changes. This is not a guaranteed 40-hour-per-week, year-round position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow rules, instructions, and lawful orders.
• Ability to cope with stressful work situations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to detect building safety hazards and communicate them to appropriate staff.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a guard license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor assigned student restrooms throughout the school day.
• Help prevent students from loitering or congregating in restrooms between classes.
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence in assigned restroom areas.
• Observe and report inappropriate, suspicious, or unauthorized activity.
• Immediately notify designated school staff of issues using a two-way radio.
• Complete incident or activity reports as required.
• Follow mandated safety requirements and communicate detected safety hazards to appropriate staff.
