About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Guard for a healthcare location in Los Angeles, California. The role involves safeguarding patients, visitors, staff, and guests while maintaining a visible security presence and helping create a welcoming environment. The position follows military grooming standards; visible tattoos or piercings on the face, hands, or neck are not permitted. This is a full-time position paying $23.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The schedule description labels these hours as daytime, although the stated hours are overnight.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Customer service experience.
A Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific policies, security procedures, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
