About The Position

As a Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol) with Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to evolving situations, and support a welcoming environment through customer service and clear communication with visitors and team members. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

This is a full-time position paying $18.54 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements vary by state or locality and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Communicate clearly with visitors and team members and support a welcoming environment.
