About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate with students, staff, and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, patrol activities, and interactions occurring during assigned shifts.
