About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security officer and patrol driver in Forest Park, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients at retail, cultural, and other public locations by conducting visible and random patrols, monitoring activity, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role requires driving and a valid driver’s license under company policy. The officer will provide customer service to visitors, staff, congregants, vendors, and others; respond professionally to incidents and emergencies; and maintain accurate logs and reports. The listed pay rate is $17.41 per hour. The schedule is Monday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Tuesday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, congregants, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail, public gathering, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a customer-focused environment.
