About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed patrol security guard for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada. The role helps safeguard employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting activity. The position is full-time and pays $24.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry requirements; assist visitors and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and documenting observations and actions.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related events.
