Security Guard Part Time Armed Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and property. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring environment. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour. Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- A valid armed guard card or license.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, critical situations, and medical-facility-related concerns, communicating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and staff access procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
