About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in McLean, Virginia. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to site needs. The officer provides customer service to personnel and visitors, communicates clearly, and follows site procedures and policies. The listed pay rate is $26.92 per hour. The schedule is Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• A guard card or license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and undertaking emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
