As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will report observations, follow site procedures, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report matters through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, common areas, grounds, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and maintain awareness of activity throughout the assigned government services location.
  • Support a respectful, professional environment by communicating clearly with diverse populations and following applicable policies, procedures, and post orders.
