As a Security Guard Full Time NYS Licensed Unarmed Patrol Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors, respond to concerns, and contribute to an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partner agencies by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government human services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and document visitors, incidents, and irregularities through required reporting channels.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and supporting a welcoming environment for those seeking services.
