Requirements

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Be 21+ years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Screen visitors, employees, and/or permitted items at designated checkpoints using established security-related procedures and screening equipment.
Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or required documentation before allowing entry to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public officials as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around checkpoint areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
