Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support smooth site operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in support of location access protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support shipping and distribution operations by helping to manage traffic flow at gates, screening authorized vehicles, and maintaining accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and key access-related events.
