Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rover in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and staff with directions and questions, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior galleries, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor flow, checking authorized credentials as required, and directing guests to appropriate areas in a professional manner.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support opening and closing routines according to site-specific policies.
