As a Security Guard Transit Overnight in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transit environment, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, transit policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods and special events, and report suspicious activity or unattended property according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with transit personnel and public emergency responders as directed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
