This position is responsible for preventing unauthorized access to guarded areas, patrolling designated client areas, and ensuring all persons and property entering and leaving premises are properly authorized. The role requires immediate reporting of discrepancies, violations, incidents, and concerns to the supervisor on duty. Guards must remain at their post until properly relieved, answer telephones professionally, and operate a computer and access systems where applicable. They are also responsible for completing reports accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all governmental, client, and company regulations, and maintaining cleanliness of their work area. Projecting a positive image, utilizing appropriate communication channels, and maintaining records are also key aspects of the role. Guards must wear proper uniform or business attire with identification badges visible at all times, adhere to company policies, and use company and client equipment responsibly. Additional duties may be requested.
