About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol Driver in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a dynamic technology, media, and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established site protocols when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or credential checks in accordance with site expectations, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and following Allied Universal post orders and client-facing service standards.
