You will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as needed, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, government location policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain professional firearm handling and readiness in accordance with applicable laws, training, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.
