Requirements

  • CPO certification is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and response activities accurately and promptly using required reporting procedures.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
