Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with outstanding service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned posts to help support visitor management, directional assistance, and adherence to location rules and expectations.
  • Assist with security-related calls for service, de-escalation support, and emergency-related procedures while maintaining a courteous presence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
