About The Position

The Security Guard I supports basic security operations to protect personnel, assets, and property at assigned locations. Working under close supervision, this role assists with site monitoring, access control, and visitor screening to help ensure a safe environment for employees and guests. The position may require on-call or call-back hours. Goldbelt Security is a products distribution and logistics company that provides services and training alongside equipment sales and partners with vendors to deliver products and services for customers' missions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least 6 months of experience in customer service or public interaction; related military service may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
Eligible for a State of Alaska Security Guard license.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of hire.
Good customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic report-writing and record-keeping skills.
Demonstrated reliability and professionalism.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to assigned areas; check identification and visitor credentials.
Complete visitor and contractor check-ins for transport to designated sites.
Conduct visual inspections of bags, totes, and personal belongings for prohibited items.
Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety issues, or policy violations.
Assist in maintaining order during incidents or emergencies under supervisors' direction.
Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and staff.
Complete basic logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Perform assigned foot patrols to monitor and secure facilities.
Support other security personnel as directed.
