AAI/CASS Corp. is seeking qualified individuals for Security Guard (Escort & Surveillance) positions with D & DA AVOP qualifications at Toronto Pearson Airport. The primary role involves providing escorting services within restricted areas of the airport, both airside and terminal, for contractors and visitors who lack the necessary airport access clearance. Requirements

  • Valid Purple Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • D or DA AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit).
  • Ability to work independently and in groups for significant periods without direct supervision.
  • Strong command of English with the ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of alertness for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, and a professional and positive courteous manner at all times.
  • Ontario Security Guard License mandatory.
  • For D license: A valid Provincial Driver's License with 5 years of driving experience.
  • For D license: A valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate (Aeronautical).
  • For D license: Knowledge and ability to utilize a radiotelephone unit (Two-way communication unit able to contact Escort Supervisor).
  • For DA license: A valid Provincial Driver's License with 3 years of driving experience.
  • For DA license: Knowledge and ability to utilize a radiotelephone unit (Two-way communication unit able to contact escort supervisor).

Responsibilities

  • Operate under positive control according to the rules and regulations set by the Airport Authority.
  • Escort contractors and/or visitors in and out of restricted areas while maintaining absolute “Care and Control”.
  • Observe Airfield escorting ratios as enforced by the Airport Authority.
  • Recognize and follow all directives in the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) and Airport Authority guidelines.
  • Maintain clear and concise radio communications as per the guidelines of the Restricted Operators Certificate - Aviation (ROC-A).
  • Establish identified work areas for all closures, pullbacks, and call-ups while maintaining line of sight, care, and control within the secured area.
  • Properly complete Visitor(s) Pass Certificates, ensuring contractors/visitors possess and display them at all times.
  • Ensure all contractors and visitors have government-issued identification.
  • Ensure contractors/visitors understand, agree to, and sign off on all terms and conditions for holding Visitor passes and certificates.
  • Assist, under appropriate AVOP supervision, in conducting a thorough sweep of the entire construction site.
