About The Position

Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community is seeking a full-time Concierge/Guard to support residents at its retirement community in Northwest Raleigh. The role combines customer service, resident assistance, emergency response, and campus safety responsibilities. The position offers regular interaction with independent residents and the opportunity to contribute to their daily lives while helping maintain their dignity, security, and peace of mind.

The employee will respond to resident requests and emergency alarms, assist residents around the campus, and conduct routine safety and facility rounds. The role requires weekend availability, a valid North Carolina driver's license, and the ability to learn and operate a telephone console and other technology.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Mature, courteous, patient, and hardworking, with a sincere concern for senior citizens.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate a telephone console and other technology.
• Must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level customer service by taking ownership of resident requests and ensuring timely resolution.
• Respond to resident emergency alarms, fires, and facility emergencies, using good judgment under pressure.
• Assist and safely escort residents throughout campus, including providing wheelchair assistance inside and in passenger vehicles outside.
• Conduct routine safety and facility rounds, maintain written reports, and remain alert to concerns involving residents or campus facilities.
• Interact closely with independent residents and contribute positively to their daily lives.
