About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed - Access Credentials in New Port Richey, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. The role supports a welcoming, secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is a full-time position paying $23.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Applicants must possess an Armed Guard Card or License, be at least 21 years old for armed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Employees must participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
