About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is looking for a Tactical Security Officer - Armed. This role requires military and law enforcement experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of observation, the ability to anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Physical ability is essential as the role involves moving around the entire shift and patrolling various environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years federal, state, local law enforcement or military police experience.
• Advanced skills and professional experience in people and conflict management with tact and discretion, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to function in stressful situations while exercising good judgment.
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the public while maintaining poise and self-control under stress.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, weapon training qualification certification for the type of weapon required at the post.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Have a state license if required

Nice To Haves

• Prior tactical firearms experience
• Prior advanced training in emergency medicine
• First aid certification is an asset
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience

Responsibilities

• Physical fitness assessment and shooting qualification
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
