About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a commissioned, armed Surveillance Security Officer for a full-time position in Houston, Texas. The officer will monitor security systems and surveillance screens to identify suspicious activity and threats, document events and incidents, respond to potential threats, conduct patrols, control access, assess security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions, and help protect people and property. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at $18.50 per hour. The role requires a Level 3 Armed Security License and the employee's own weapon, duty belt, two pairs of cuffs, and two non-lethal items. Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a Level 3 Armed Security License.
• Provide own equipment: weapon, duty belt, two pairs of cuffs, and two non-lethal items.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license with no restriction B and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate a stable work history.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to climb stairs, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
• Have computer and social skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry.
• Be willing and able to work odd hours and under pressure.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer.
• Think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have strong responsiveness and problem-solving skills.
• Hold a state license if required.
