About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed Vehicle Driver Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transit location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and/or responding to emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout transit locations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations, document observations, and communicate with supervisors, public agencies, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Support a professional presence at a government location by interacting with the public, assisting with directions and general questions, and following established protocols for escalations and/or unusual events.
