As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site leadership and/or law enforcement as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, housing units, and perimeter areas, remaining aware of unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit activity, and help to deter unauthorized access, contraband movement, and/or other security-related concerns.
• Support order within the location by following post orders, maintaining a professional presence, assisting with emergency procedures, and communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders.
