As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Associate in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be able to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Be able to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (required for driving positions only).

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support custody-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing required reports, logs, and/or other assigned documentation before the end of the shift.
