About The Position

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or Associates Degree or 60 College Credits or Police Academy Certificate or Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
Handcuffs, Pepper Spray, and Baton are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public sector contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and noting unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with post orders, verifying credentials and/or permissions as required for an armed patrol post.
Maintain a visible presence while assigned to an armed patrol role, supporting order at the location and following all applicable use of force, reporting, and post procedures.
