As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will complete detailed reports, support residents and guests with exceptional customer service, and collaborate with your team to deliver on Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This is an armed, driving post. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security-related experience.
• Maintain a current armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of community amenities, common areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
• Monitor access points and vehicle and/or pedestrian entry, verify authorization, and document visitor activity per site-specific policy to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from local authorities and/or site management when needed.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain logs, and communicate notable activity to supervisors and/or site representatives while following all Allied Universal and client firearms handling requirements.
