About The Position

The Security Engineering Manager serves as a key member of the Global Cyber Information Security strategic leadership team and will act as a consensus builder, problem solver, and team leader for the overall security organization. The Manager, Security Engineering, has a critical role that requires an individual with a strong technical background as well as an innate understanding of balancing security requirements with business objectives. The Manager, Security Engineering will act as an empowered team member with the CISO during planning and design initiatives to ensure security measures are incorporated into the global strategy and priorities are clearly understood/defined. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree

  • 5+ years of experience in leadership/manager others
  • 10+ years of Technical Engineering and Information Security Experience
  • 10+ years of relevant Defense and Technical Information Security Technology Experience + specialized training
  • 8+ years of information security assessment, architecture, engineering, and operations
  • 5+ years of experience aligned to a relevant architecture discipline (integrations, data, services, applications, infrastructure)
  • 7+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Enterprise-class architecture concepts, definition, and creation
  • Specialized training on managing and communicating top secret/confidential information
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company's network security and security architecture, driving forward a cyber security roadmap (tools, technologies, methodologies) with the goal of reducing enterprise risk.
  • Drive a cross-organization security strategy, with a shift-left approach, to ensure security is effectively integrated from software design and through release.
  • Drive innovation in new methods and approaches to security architecture.
  • Lead security engineering across one or more technical domains, driving impact across teams, technologies, and enterprise projects.
  • Design, build, and oversee security architecture and systems, ensuring alignment with business needs, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate security early into system and software design, championing operational excellence, metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary security liaison, partnering with business, IT, and operations leaders to define security needs and roadmaps.
  • Guide and support secure operation of large‑scale, cloud and enterprise environments, resolving complex technical issues and maintaining documentation.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies and tools, staying current on industry trends, emerging threats, and vendor capabilities.
  • Establish and run security governance processes, including prioritization, resource utilization, standards, and day‑to‑day operational controls.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing global security engineering team through hiring, mentoring, performance management, and engagement.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional initiatives while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared best practices.
