About The Position

Deploy is seeking a highly motivated Security Engineer with information security experience to help build a best-in-class security program. The role protects sensitive company information, addresses potential data breaches, and implements security and data governance controls. The Security Engineer will lead and participate in security operations, risk assessments, incident responses, and project maintenance across the organization. Working cross-functionally with engineering teams, this person will support product objectives and drive foundational improvements to the company’s overall security posture. A passion for AI is required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
Experience building and maintaining security systems.
Hands-on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with technical and non-technical audiences in a business-friendly manner.
Experience with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
Thorough understanding of current security principles, techniques, and protocols.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Passion for AI.

Responsibilities

Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures that protect computer systems, networks, and information.
Identify and define system security requirements.
Partner with engineering teams on internal and customer-facing security and privacy initiatives, accounting for security data accessibility, quality, and reliability.
Analyze the company’s security posture, identify gaps and potential vulnerabilities, and collaborate with other teams to strengthen operational security through security testing.
Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designs.
Write comprehensive reports on assessment findings, outcomes, and proposals for further system security enhancements.
Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance and handling as relevant to the role.
Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets.
Report actual or suspected security or policy violations and breaches to an appropriate authority.
