The Security Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating all security communications and response activities across the property. This role serves as the central command point for security operations, ensuring timely and accurate communication between security officers, surveillance, emergency services, and other departments to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment. The Security Dispatcher will operate multi-line radios, telephones, and communication systems efficiently and professionally, dispatch security officers to incidents, emergencies, and service calls throughout the property, and maintain constant communication with Security, Surveillance, and key departments. This role requires prioritizing calls based on urgency and risk, receiving, logging, and tracking all security-related incidents and requests for service, and coordinating emergency response (medical, fire, law enforcement) as needed. The dispatcher will provide real-time updates to Security leadership and Surveillance, monitor alarms, access control systems, and emergency notifications, and ensure compliance with operational procedures for activities such as guest service standards, fire prevention, emergency response, guarding and patrolling the physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel inside and outside the facility, and responding to accidents and criminal acts inside and outside the facility. Accurate documentation of all incidents, calls, and dispatch activity in logs and systems is crucial. The role also involves maintaining vendor logs, collecting IDs and contact information, notifying other departments when vendors arrive and escort is needed, and maintaining detailed records for regulatory and internal compliance. Additional duties include assisting with report follow-ups and data tracking, monitoring CCTV systems (as applicable) and reporting suspicious activity, tracking officer locations and assignments to ensure coverage, supporting investigations by providing logs and communication records, responding professionally to internal and external inquiries, providing assistance to guests and team members when needed, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor during high-pressure situations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory controls, and enforcing state casino laws including the identification and removal of underage persons from the casino floor. The Security Dispatcher must respond to all security calls and alarms in a timely manner, operate communication equipment properly, safely and according to company policy and procedure, and be knowledgeable of and consistently follow Oaklawn policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state and federal regulations. Effective communication with all levels of Oaklawn team members and guests is essential. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
