About The Position

The Security Dispatcher serves as the central communications and administrative hub for the Security & Safety Department. This position is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating response activities, managing visitor check-ins, conducting bag checks, and maintaining accurate records. The Security Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and a safe environment for guests, team members, and property assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Ability to multitask as well as take the appropriate action as necessary.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge in the following programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Report Programs, Etc.).
  • Proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understand any instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
  • RBS (Responsible Beverage Services) certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino
  • Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
  • Must successfully complete first aid/CPR training provided by Rolling Hills Casino Security.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage security radio traffic, phone lines, panic alarms, and other communication systems.
  • Dispatch Security Officers, supervisors, and other response team members to incidents, service calls, and emergencies.
  • Track officer locations, assignments, and status to ensure appropriate coverage and timely response.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and accurate communication during routine operations and emergency situations.
  • Serve as a professional first point of contact for guests, team members, vendors, and visitors.
  • Provide clear directions, assistance, and information while maintaining security protocols.
  • Handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Uphold department standards for appearance, conduct, and communication.
  • Correctly issues and documents payroll checks, visitor badges, keys, and staff on/off property status.
  • Conduct visitor, vendor, contractor, and guest check-ins in accordance with casino security and regulatory procedures.
  • Verify identification, approvals, and access authorization prior to granting entry.
  • Issue and track visitor badges and access credentials.
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure compliance with escort and access requirements.
  • Conduct bags, backpack, and package inspections in accordance with established policies.
  • Ensure restricted items are not brought into the facility or into secured areas.
  • Document refusals, confiscations, and exceptions per department procedures.
  • Coordinate with Security Officers or supervisors when prohibited items or concerns are identified.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and life safety systems as assigned.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
  • Assist with documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Accurately enter incident reports, daily logs, visitor records, safety observations, and other required data into security systems.
  • Maintain organized and confidential security records in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely completion and proper routing of all required documentation.
  • Assist with tracking safety incidents, near misses, and hazard reports.
  • Support OSHA compliance efforts by maintaining safety logs, training records, and documentation as assigned.
  • Participate in safety communications and assist with emergency preparedness activities.
  • Report unsafe conditions observed through cameras, reports, or communications to appropriate personnel.
  • Receive and prioritize emergency calls, medical requests, and incident notifications.
  • Initiate emergency response protocols and notify appropriate internal and external responders.
  • Maintain situational awareness and document timelines, actions taken, and communications during incidents.
  • Support incident command by tracking resources and providing real-time information.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as required.
