About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking Part-time Security D Command Center Operators for 16 hours per week in Deerfield Beach. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour. This role requires candidates with a work history demonstrating progressively related skill sets and responsibilities, with an emphasis in a communication center, dispatch, or 911 setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. The SOC Operator is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergencies, compiling daily reports, responding to email and phone inquiries, and performing general workplace duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, possess superior communication and multi-tasking skills, and have a professional yet approachable personality capable of making sound decisions with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • 2 years of satisfactory prior employment as a security officer.
  • 1 year of experience in dispatch or command is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Fl Driver’s License.
  • Valid Fl Security D License.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
  • Maintaining a working telephone number for contact purposes is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Push/Report all appropriate operational matters in real-time directly to the SOC Manager, Director of Operations and members of senior management.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Acts on all customer service related calls and either resolves them personally or refers issues to the appropriate individuals.
  • Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service, to include; phone and email workstations. Monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and all communications devices; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure.
  • Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed.
  • Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned.
