Security Control Room Officer
About The Position
The Security Control Room Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. The officer serves as a helpful professional resource and ensures people on the property follow safety protocols. The role is full-time at a site in Hillsboro, Oregon. Listed schedules include Saturday through Tuesday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Wednesday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and flexible second- and third-shift options. No experience is necessary. The listed wage is $22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
- Above-average computer and technology skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout the shift.
- Ability to respond to emergencies using rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
- Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
- Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
- Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
- Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
- Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
- Perform access control at security entrances and exits.
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
- Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
